It has been a rainy season so far for the Lisbon Boys Golf Team. Most of their practices have been cancelled and one meet was postponed and then cancelled the next time. Even with all of the bad weather, they have started their season out great. They have had 2 meets so far this year. Their first meet was on March 27, 2017 at Kernoustie Golf Course in Mt. Vernon. They started the season out great shooting 208 to beat Springville who shot 247. Keegan Brayton was a meet medalist, leading the team with a score of 48. Other contributors were meet runner up Max Abodeely shooting 52, Traysen Schaefer and Conner Miller with 54s, Sam Hendricks with a 59, and Brayton Frey with a 61. Congratulations on your first meet, boys. Their second meet was on April 4, 2017 at Valley Oaks Golf Course in Clinton. The Lions improved to 2-0 outshooting Prince of Peace 231-238. Battling the elements and standing water, Traysen Schaefer shot a 53 which earned him the meet runner-up medal. The other golfers also did great. Keegan Brayton and Conner Miller also contributed by shooting a score of 59. Max Abodeely with a 60, Sam Hendricks with a 67, and Brayton Frey with a 74 also contributed to the Lions win. Their next meet at Kernoustie Golf Course is April 10, 2017 against Calamus Wheatland at 4:00 P.M. JV will also participate in this meet.
